PARK(ing)
PARK(ing) is a theoretical project developed in partnership with the Portland Art Museum for a round table discussion entitled “The Next Portland Parks” and part of an ongoing conversation called “Force of Nature: Portland’s Parks, Past, Present and Future”. The exploration of our work is centered on the changing nature of the automobile and its place in our City’s landscape. Specifically, we investigate the notion that the automobile’s reign may end in the coming century and the trail of parking structures left in its wake may require creative repurposing. Our work takes one of these structures from PARKING cars to PARK(ing) people.
