Milwaukie Bay Park

Building from an existing 2010 Master Plan visioning a waterfront park for the City of Milwaukie, 2.ink Studio has engaged both local and regional stakeholders in a robust dialogue on how this exceptional 6-acre parcel along the Willamette River can best meet the needs of the community at large.

Engaging history, riparian ecology, technical site data and a complex regulatory process including state, regional and city players, 2.ink Studio has generated site alternatives specifically designed to help guide public discussion of how best to prioritize multiple park program elements while keeping the focus on respecting and enhancing the site’s unique relationship to both downtown Milwaukie and the Willamette River. Public outreach has included over 1,000 participants to date through events including a summer Party-in-the-Park, attendance at Farmers Markets, area concerts and Movies in the Parks, stakeholder interviews, on-line surveys and both Open House and Public Workshop events.

Park improvements include an interactive water feature, plaza, amphitheater for concerts and events, nature playground, picnicking and pathways, native plantings, and a multi-modal regional pathway connection.
