Block 17

Located on the north end of Portland’s bustling Pearl District neighborhood, Block 17 is a new high rise apartment building designed for a young, working class clientele. The block is being developed with two distinct towers creating a central open space spine that will feature both open entertainment space for tenants as well as private terraces for podium level units. Amenities include barbecue areas, group seating spaces, fireplace, individual seating areas, water features, and a rich garden planting palette.

The central plaza space, built above the parking spaces below, will capture storm water from the adjacent roofs and move it through the garden as a seasonal feature to the garden and terminating in a water fall on the north end of the garden as it transitions into the green street. The Project’s adjacency to the nearby Fields Neighborhood Park, a vibrant shopping district, and neighborhood amenities makes it an ideal urban retreat in a garden environment.
